This Week in Malta: Flipping Cars and Superhuman Pensioners

Monday (15th Sept): Another car managed to 'flip'onto it's back today, like a beetle with inner ear problems, but see Thursday for another example of this.  Nobody hurt.

Tuesday:  Traffic wardens in Valletta seemed to have been taking the summer off, as their return today was noted by peeved residents.  Lord knows that Malta needs plenty of traffic wardens.

Wednesday: Sadly Duchess Kate won't be making it over to Malta due to her morning sickness issues.  Maybe next time.

Thursday:  Another car overturned today.  I have never known a country where this happened so often.  I mean, it's not an easy thing to pull off.  Luckily the drivers and passengers generally just extricate themselves without too much damage being done.

Friday: A 70-year-old man admitted smashing the windscreen of a bus which nearly hit him.  Smashing the windscreen by punching it with his bare hands.  Probably better that the bus didn't hit this chap, or it may well have crumpled around his superhuman torso.

Saturday: In the absence of his good lady wife, Prince William popped over to Malta to wish everybody well.

Sunday: Happy 50th B-day Malta!
