New Years Eve in Malta 2014-2015

New Years Eve 2015 Malta Valletta

Planning to party on New Years Eve 2015 in Malta?

(Yes, I know it's early but people like to think ahead)

Don't worry, there are plenty of options, and I am going to list as many of them as I can find right here:

Valletta Waterfront is a good place to start, as there will be a large fireworks display here.  (And because it's free).  Transport in and out is a bit of a hassle, so if you can find your way onto the water you will probably have a more tranquil New Year's Eve experience.

The Ladybird Foundation is holding a charity ball at the Radisson in Mellieha.  Tickets are €65 a head and it's helping very sick Maltese children to have the holiday of their dreams, so well worth supporting.  You will feel good when you wake up the next morning (for a change)

From Grease to Black Eyed Peas as DJ Alex Grech is bashing out the floor-fillers again this year at Tattingers club in Rabat.

Winter Moods in Gozo's Victoria Square is on.  Don't forget about Gozo!  Another free event to ring in the New Year.

Paceville.  Just... all of it.  All night.  And a lot of the next morning

Trilogy's New Year's Eve takes place in Zurrieq.  So if you know where Zurrieq is, you can go there.  They charge €45 for an evening's entertainment including food and hits from the 60's to 90's - kids are welcome to this one.

Marina Hotel offer a buffet NYE dinner for those who won't balk at the €75 ticket (kids half price).  Dinner & music from 7pm to 1am, not to mention all the other festive feasts they are organising over the Christmas period.

The NYE 2015 VIP Party at Casino Maltese in Valletta asks you to dress up for the occasion.  No trainers please.  Classy cocktails and DJS for your €80 ticket.

Samsara looks like a popular event, with early bird tickets already sold out.  So get your tickets (from €30) while you can if you want to party in the Casablanca Club, Bahar Ic-Caghaq.

Cargo on the Birgu waterfront are planning a stylish celebration.

Il Carciofo in Gharghur offer a 5 course meal (including always crucial champagne) for the very reasonable price of €30

The Playground in St Julian's present a glitzy casino themed clubbing event, delivering tickets to you for €25.

The Fortress in Xemxija promises to transform into a winter wonderland for the evening.  9pm until (very) late at €55 a ticket.

(More as I find them - feel free to make suggestions in the Comments section)

I hope you have a great NYE wherever you end up, although I confess that I won't be in any of the above-named, as we will be over in Dear Auld Dublin for New Year's!
