Mdina Glass

Pretty, pretty, look how it shines in the light.  This is what Mdina glass looks like.  It's nice, buy some.  In Mdina.  (or various outlets around Malta).  They even make Christmas trees, if you have particularly deep pockets.
I did a little bit of research into the history of Mdina glass on their website (I did say a little research - I don't get paid for this), in the hope of unearthing fascinating nuggets of information about the famous Mdina glass.  Instead I found an account of the development of a medium sized business, replete with stories of export growth and transfers of ownership.  It doesn't even date back centuries, it started up in 1968, which I guess is kind of impressive in itself given the reputation it has built up since then.  Although not particularly interesting.  None of which should detract from the glass itself though, which is top quality stuff with a pretty distinctive style.
